In a moment of panic, Fred couldn't remember where his exploding boomerang was. A regular boomerang bounced off its head as he started backpedaling. A bladed boomerang stuck in its... snout? Whatever the hell. The third try was the charm as he tossed the exploding boomerang into the Brood's mouth when it was WAY TOO CLOSE.
The past four months, he had worn his supervillain boots every single day just in case one of the weird things people warned him about actually happened. And now that he was covered in exploded alien debris - and was probably going to attract more unexploded aliens because of the explosion - that decision paid off!
With a click of the heels, Fred shot off into the air, his jetboots propelling him toward the hotel. He was going to need SO MANY MORE BOOMERANGS if he was going to get through this! Fortunately, he had a terrifying number hidden away. Way more of them were exploding than he was going to admit to anyone in a position of authority, too.
