It was the Valentine's Dance and while, unlike some previous years, pollen wasn't in the air (yet), glitter certainly was. Gallon and gallons of it

Ada most assuredly was not going to ask Dante, because he'd probably make a terrible pun and try to steal the Isabela-booty for himself. Ada was half-sure his middle name was 'shameless' and his last name was 'greedy.'
Not that those were bad traits, but Ada wanted to get one uninterrupted dance with the prize she'd just stolen.
"Oh? And how would I keep my booty close at hand without other pirates stealing it?" she teased. "They'd just get jealous."

Hey now, Dante could be very good at sharing sometimes, but Isabela wasn't going to bring that up because she understood the value of keeping some prime boot to oneself.
"Well you have to either watch it like a hawk, or actually keep your hands on it," Isabela said, moving to try and place Ada's hands on her hips, because that's what you did when you were dancing. Uh-huh. "Besides letting them be jealous is a feature, because you're showing that you've got the booty and they haven't and there's nothing they can do about it." This attitude was going to result in so many barfights in the future. So many.

You say barfights like it's a bad thing!
Ada was perfectly happy to oblige and place her hands on 'Bela's hips, angled slightly towards the small of her back. "Can't I do both at the same time? Watch it and hold on to it?"

They were only bad if you lost. Or had to pick up the tab after.
Isabela grinned and went to put her own hands on Ada's shoulders. "That depends entirely on how flexible you are," she said, because she was terrible at subtle. And just terrible in general.

"I'm a carnival barker, not a contortionist or even a dancing girl," Ada laughed. "I'm flexible enough to be entertaining, and to get in and out of trouble. That's about it."
Re: Dance Floor [VD 2016]boneyard_girlFebruary 12 2016, 20:56:49 UTC
"Isabela, you might be a pirate queen, but I'm a carnie princess," Ada informed her. "No one knows more about moving people into exactly the position that you want them in than I do."
Sharp as a con and pretty as a midway morning. It ran in the family.

Considering that Ada's dress was basically made for twirling and dancing, this was where you'd find her most of the evening, with her curls tumbling wildly down her back while she danced and sparkled the night away.

"Well, if flexibility's an issue, then it's all about positions."
