The school year had begun afresh for the students ... and that included Jack. His law classes hadn't even started yet, but he still had emails from professors to answer and textbooks to buy and (as always) paperwork to fill in.

He busied himself at the bar with all of that, but not before eyeing Tiny's sign of the day skeptically.

For the record, Anders hadn't intended to invite Cassandra, Merrill and Isabela to the one place on the island that wouldn't serve alcohol. But Caritas didn't seem to be open, and they'd already made plans for today, so he sucked it up and ordered a soda before sliding into the booth.

She was here to keep an eye on Anders and the newcomers, not to drink alcohol, thank you. "Why would one put glitter in rum? At best, you will not notice it, at worst it is a hazard."
