The Zin Ship Above Fandom, Sunday Morning and Afternoon

Aug 02, 2015 09:02

Simulation 45y was failing.

Angry red lights were going off everywhere. Along with claxons. Too many claxons. Zin were running around, trying to shut off one claxon after another.

There was a lot of yelling.

And pods kept opening.

That was inconvenient.

The inside of the Zin ship is a maze of corridors and stairs, patrolled by various Zin guards.

Too bad for them they're not really expecting a break-out.

Genuinely too bad, as an angry Jedi burst out of one of the pod rooms. Atton'd fried the door panel's circuits right after hacking into the ship's alarm systems to send a message to his T3-unit - pure pazaak.

He threw the first Zin soldier to come at him back violently with the Force, leaving a sizable dent in the bulkhead on the other side of the hallway. He took off with blazing speed, slipping through the gaps in the blaster fire by instinct, the Force back in his head. He grabbed the second Zin by the head and broke his neck, then threw the gun at the third one to come at him. Pushed off and slammed his foot into the face of the fourth, then hit the corridor to his left with a quick blast of Force lightning.

"By all means, keep coming!" he snapped, tearing into the next hallway. "If any of you schuttas thinks they can stop me, it's their funeral ( ... )

Okay, so the 'run' plan didn't last as long as it could, what with all of the Zin that were out on patrol. Sparkle was not going to call this a disaster. He wasn't. He was going to just... amend his 'run' plan to 'sneak,' and do a whole lot of that instead.

He was looking for a way off the ship. But, you know, he'd settle for some fucking pants, too.

Lucky for Sparkle, then, that the area he had just wandered into was quickly running out of Zin. Very acutely, in fact.

Specifically, one Zin soldier came flying out of a hallway to the right and slammed into the wall to the left. The sound of yelling and gunshots followed right behind.

Sparkle wasn't completely certain if he trusted that much gunfire. But at the same time, if somebody was giving the Zin a bad day, he was so okay with this.

Careful to, like, keep mostly around the corner and not stick his face in the line of fire or anything, Sparkle peered down that hallway. And blinked.

"Ohthankfuckit'syou."

They were all shooting at the crazy naked Jedi. Sparkle was pretty sure this was a good thing for everyone involved but the Zin.

"Oh, by the way, I really hate being shot at !" Atton snapped, moving between blaster shots like he knew exactly when they were coming and where. (He didn't, but the Force did.)

He grabbed one blaster by the shooty end and slammed it into the Zin's face, then reached out and ripped through the next two with a burst of Force lightning.

The last one dropped his weapon and went running.

"Space!"

Sparkle watched the last of the Zin go running by, and resisted the urge to kick him in the ass as he passed him, if only because he wasn't wearing any shoes, and that would suck.

"... Feel better?"

"I'll feel better when I'm off this damn ship," Atton said irritably, kicking the Zin's weapon aside. "I've been looking for you for like five minutes, stop running around."

Sparkle briefly considered going for that weapon. And then wisely came to the conclusion that Atton with a lead pipe was much more terrifying.

"I'm not running around now, am I?"

That was kind of the best he had, here.

...

"Thanks."

For, you know, coming to get him. Because otherwise Sparkle was going to have to find out how to get his naked ass off this ship on his own.

"Yeah, yeah," Atton said. "Look, I've got the Hawk inbound in two minutes, at least if the Teethree doesn't mess it all up. Let's get moving already."

Were they running out of Zin? It was starting to feel like they were running out of Zin.

He slipped past Sparkle and into the hallway ahead.

Running out of Zin could only be a good thing. Sparkle just nodded, and followed along a half-step behind Atton. There was no way in hell he was letting him out of his sight.

Not that he thought, at this point, that Atton would go on without him or anything. But at the end of the day, with his head more or less screwed on right, Sparkle was fully willing to admit that he was not the fighter in this situation.

"I swear I'm going to be picking Zin goop out of my hair for weeks," Atton grumbled, as he continued on to one of the airlocks at a brisk pace.

Look, if he kept moving and angry, he could keep himself from realizing that it was kind of the opposite of no pants temperatures in here.

Anders hadn't realized he had his powers back yet until he got lost in a corridor, ended up being cornered by a Zin guard and tried to cast fire at him out of seer instinct.

It was a good thing the guard didn't have eyebrows, because they would have burned off with the rest of his face. Anders almost felt guilty for a second before he rubbed his hands together and went after the next one. He shouted out of exultation as he did. Maker, it felt good to be free and in the right body again.

"Destructive forces of nature, coming up!"

There was a very angry man stalking down the halls of the ship right then. A very angry man who didn't much care to find dead-ends, and who had a few very specific goals in mind, and woe betide anybody who tried to prevent him from reaching those goals.

If a few walls happened to go down in a gout of white-hot flame as that very angry man made his way in a straight line for his partner's mental signature, and if there happened to be a few Zin in the way as that happened, Jono really wasn't terribly inclined to care.

That they were shooting at him as he went mostly just served to get them killed that much faster. He'd worry about the blaster burns later. He might even consider worrying about the guilt that generally came from cutting down so many lives without giving them a second thought.

Might. Right now there was a sort of grim satisfaction in the fact that, as a telepath, he could feel them die.

So Alex had been mostly able to use her morphing powers to make her way through the corridors and bypass the guards but there was only so much navigating she could do with her powers as she wasn't familiar enough with the ship so at one point she had to stop and remorph.

Luckily she had been able to find a cardboard box so that she could at least try to cover up as much as she could, which made it slightly awkward to move around but she was doing the best that she could in the circumstances. She was just relieved that she could still use her telekinesis and zapping powers when she would occasionally come across a guard.

Finding clothing was very, very low on Cara's list of priorities as she stalked through the ship. Any Zin she came across were lucky that getting weapons or some of her own back were also lower on the list than finding a way out, as it meant that some of them might survive. The smart ones who got out of her way, mostly.
