Eliot leaned back in his chair and crossed his arms over his chest casually, not in the least concerned about the gun she had aimed at him under the table. "No one."
"What?" A close shot: that gun-hand under the table was wavering.
Dinah lowered her voice to a whisper, leaning in even closer. "I know you did it. You were the only Fandom hitter in town that weekend. Don't try to lie."
"She wasn't the target?" Dinah leaned back, stunned. That was a very surprise left hook of a surprise reveal there, Spencer. "The Black Canary died by accident?"
"I didn't miss," Eliot said. "Just couldn't leave any witnesses. New Gotham ain't like Fandom. Got all them super-types running around, cramping a guy's style." He leaned forward now, resting his elbows on the table. And Molly, muzzle aimed at Dinah, Eliot's finger on her trigger. "Now I'll give you a chance here, toots, 'cause I kinda got to like you. Why don't you go home and grieve your sister like the smart cookie you are, instead of stirring up extra trouble."
"I had 'til sundown tonight to catch the guy who killed me. But you're right. I don't want to be a killer." She sighed, then stole his coffee. "You never did buy me that drink."
But this, first.
She paused in the door, then headed over to Spencer's table, and sat down.
The gun in her hand was concealed by the table.
"Spencer."
