It smelled distractingly like chocolate in here today, and for no discernible reason. The thing was, it wasn't a pervasive kind of smell; it wasn't as if you could walk through the front door right into a (figurative) wall of the scent of chocolate. It was just that every now and then Éponine would catch a whiff of chocolate, and then she had to stop what she was doing and try to find the source.
As far as she could tell, there was no source.
She ended up stopping at the Perk for the largest mocha they had, just to spite the mysterious chocolate scent, on her way back from a delivery run, and considered that if it was some kind of evil plot to get her to buy a mocha it was a devious and highly successful one.
She admired that, really.
