It was mostly sunny and still warm, at least for an October day. Basically, perfect weather for a big old group meal in the park. Plenty of food and drink was set up, as was plenty of seating for everyone who might possibly show up ( Read more... )

Even was here mostly to see if she could still catch a friend or two of Alana's to talk to.

But she also had a plate with a few things to nibble on because some of these Earth things were pretty good.

Raleigh caught sight of the wings more than anything else, so he sidled on by to be polite. "Are you Alana's guest?"

The step-mother who appeared almost her age what the hell?

It happened, Raleigh. It just did.

Even beamed at him. "Yes, I am. Hi! I'm Even, I'm Alana's... well, step-mom, I guess, but I'm hoping we'll move past that eventually. Are you a friend of hers?"

"I am!" she told him with an enthusiastic nod. "Everyone is really nice, and it seems like a really peaceful place." Ha ha. "I think this is a good environment for Alana."

Even chuckled a bit. She was getting pretty understanding of people's surprise. "Yes, I do," she confirmed. And not for a Renn Faire, either. "I don't think you get a lot of people from Landfall here."
