The highlight of Mike's Valentine's Day evening had been Adam drunk-dialing him. He was fine with that, though (although he'd have preferred not to listen to Adam's drunken ramblings). He'd still gotten flowers earlier in the day, which had amused him, and he was in an okay mood when he came into work today

Mike laughed, nodding at her in greeting. "Hey. And you got me flowers too! It would've been rude not to reciprocate."

Never mind that that made no sense, since he'd had no way of knowing she'd do that too. He was probably joking.

"That's how I felt too!" Laurie assured him. "Also, I don't normally send dudes flowers, but it's for like, a good cause or whatever, right? Plus flowers are nice and they make your home look like it came out of a magazine!"

Yeah, Mike's house would totally be featured in Better Homes and Gardens any day now.
