The sky was cloudy but the weather was just the right side of warm as the sun rose on the traditional Parent's Weekend Brunch. There were tables, chairs, and a buffet laid out with all manner of breakfast (and not-so-breakfasty) foods.

Yes. At the rate he was going, he would finally reach the stairs in about... three hours... and roll all the way back down to the beach.

His dad hadn't reacted badly or anything like that but there had been some stern words and warnings. Percy had expected that but he still wasn't really okay with them. There were reasons for that.
