"Yeah." Stacey rolled her eyes. "My mom and dad didn't want to show up in the same place, so there were all these fights over who was going to come, and I got so sick of it I told them both to stay home."

Then she added, "They're divorced." Unnecessarily.

"Mine are over there," Olive said, equally unnecessarily. "So okay, I guess I'm not that jealous, since that sounds...highly unpleasant. But still."

"Are you not a fan of them?" Stacey asked, sounding sympathetic.

"I'm a huge fan of them," Olive said, shaking her head. "But I like them back in California and not, necessarily, like...right here."

After she got the text while catching up with Peter on the affairs of the world on some rooftop, Jessica decided it was probably worth spending social time near her 'cousin' in public again. So they made their way to the park and started to separate quickly so that nobody got a real good look at how alike they really looked.

Jessica was going to stick around over here, talking to people as much as possible while Peter wandered off slightly.

"That's a weird way to say hi," Jessica noted. Also, kind of complimentary in a weird, weird way? "Also, he's my cousin. And he has a girlfriend." Well, one of those things was true."
