Kyle grabbed himself a whole bunch of snacks and settled in, keeping an eye out for Guy.

He was hungry, though, and might not have been looking very hard.

"That's a lot of food," Sarah noted raspily, feeling sociable while she waited for her parents to show up. (It wouldn't hurt to be seen talking to blokes who weren't her boyfriend, either.) "Think you'll need that much energy for cape business? 'Cause the island tends to behave itself over weekends like this."

Cape knows cape, see. Not that she currently looked like much of a superhero. More like a hooker, sorry to say (though it was purpose). Maybe after she caught sight of his nametag, she might pull the jacket back on.

Kyle sat up a little - girls had that effect on him, dressed like a hooker or no. "No, I'm actually here on vacation," he said. "Sort of. This is post-cape binging."

He smiled at her. Because again: girl.

A girl who gave a snort at that revelation. "This is no fucking place for a vacation, mate," she said, then reconsidered. "Well, not usually, anyway."

"It worked out pretty well for me last time I was here," Kyle confided. "Free food, a decent bar and time with an old friend. And the people aren't half-bad."

"Eh." Sarah shrugged. "Guess they're not all bad." She was still here because they weren't all bad, come on. "The free food is a definite plus. That doesn't happen all the time."

"Maybe not, but it's happening now," Kyle replied. "Besides, I'm sure you've got plenty of people taking you out to dinner."

"Mostly just the one, though if you happen to run into a freakishly tall and angry Scotsman, you should say the exact opposite. Perhaps skipping the dinner, even."

Sarah, stop trying to rope innocent people into making you seem slutty for you.

Kyle offered a hand with a big green ring on it. "Kyle," he offered. "I'll let you know if I run into any Scotsmen."

"Probably." Now that he'd turned out to be one of the few guests that weren't hers that she was still exoected to socialize with. "That doesn't mean you're off the hook for the Scotsman thing, though."

Atton wasn't really expecting anybody, but he was expecting food. In fact, he'd piled a whole bunch of it on his plate and taken it down to some table, which he was now kind of slouched over, stuffing burgers into his mouth.
