Trick wasn't entirely sure if this mysterious 'benefactor' understood what Portalocity was, but rather than being sorry, he put out a few pamphlets about vacation packages and things. If nothing else, he figured he'd just tell people it was called 'Portalocity' because it was 'your portal to the best vacation ever!'
And then made a mental note to send that to the corporate office. It was the kind of schmaltz that big corporations ate up. Unless they censured him for being too creative instead. With Portalocity Corporate, one was as likely as the other.
Behind the counter where the board members couldn't see, he put a post-it note on his computer screen, reminding him to give a 25% discount on anyone leaving because they didn't 'fit in.' He might not have much to do with the school itself, but Trick was Fae. He understood the importance of having a place where they could hide from human eyes--or, in this case, 'normal eyes'--and how bad it felt when that place was taken away.
Now more than ever, he missed the Dal.
