A room at the community center had been set up for a perfectly innocent slumber party that was in no way intended to promote girlkissy. Tara thought her pajamas were understated and adorable. She filled a plate with chocolate chip cookies, claimed a coke and a seat, and watched to see who would come.

Karla, plate of food in hand, came over to give Tara a high-five. "We're awesome," she informed her friend. "In case no one's mentioned it yet."

Tara returned the high five with a grin. "We so are," she agreed. "This came together really easy. It's like we all needed a party."

"After the week we've all just had, I really think we did," Karla said, nodding and looking just as innocent as she could. "Somewhere we could all get together without worry, and just enjoy good friends, good food, and a little bit to drink to take the edge off."

Because that's exactly what a bunch of girls hopped up on hormones needed: something to 'take the edge off.' Where 'edge' probably meant 'clothing.' Or would after a few hours.

Like meta Dirty Dancing. That never turned anyone on.

"The room service is really good!" Karla offered. Because that was why she was staying, obviously. The room service. "Last night, I ordered steak at two in the morning. It's awesome."

Let's not think too closely about why Karla was awake and ravenous at that time in the morning, shall we?

"And of course I made it! I have enough self-control to enjoy a fun party with my friends."

Darcy not Diana as I typed three times had cupcake pajamas and a tub of ice cream which she quickly combined with the cookies.

Between the cupcake pjs and the ice cream cookies, Darcy was just looking plain delicious this evening. Not that Karla was looking or anything.

She glanced around the snack table and found a mini-eclair. "Will this serve?" she asked, holding it up for Darcy.

To her mouth, actually. Rather than her hand.

Well then her hand would get dirty and there would be wasted chocolate!

"Your exchange is acceptable." Darcy informed her and took a bite of the eclair. Which was still in Karla's hand.
