All Around What Remains of Fandom... and then Nothing, Shortly After Noon
Underneath Fandom, a man overgrown with metal trembled. His eyes had gone white a long time ago, but now even that was fading, and... ...something dark clawed its way up through the soil and into the room.
He didn't even have time to crash to the ground in exhaustion when the Nothing took him.
The forcefield gave out completely. The moment that blue shimmering field gave way, the clouds rolled in, ripping straight through the school like it was nothing. It tore away the dorms without waiting for a single second, and then ate away at what remained of the grounds, and--
-- then there was darkness. One small clump of ground and grass floated within the Nothing, a chunk of the old campus garden.
And one little ball of light, purple and shimmering, so much bigger on the inside than it was on the outside.
Special Collections persisted.
But for how long?
