Raven had wanted to attend the meeting at town hall, but there were too many people inside, and she didn't trust herself or her shields. She only had a pale shadow of her soul left to her now, and holding back the demon side of her nature took all her will. She couldn't afford to shield out all the strong emotions as well.
She began to head back to the library, skirting the edge of the park. She'd listened to the radio and knew about the strangers in town who were possibly making more people disappear, so she was keeping a wary eye out for them.
