Grace didn't fully understand what was happening, but she knew that Sam and Peter had been around to play with her yesterday morning, and now they weren't and Mommy was even sadder. So, she hadn't fussed much when Zoe put a harness on her this morning. It was better than being held all the time, for sure.

The leash was in Zoe's hand, of course. She knew it looked strange, but she dared anyone to tell her she was being crazy right now.

"I need one of those," Rory commented, holding tight to a fussing Juliet. (Juliet did, of course, take a moment out of her anxious chewing on her mother's hair to wave and say, "Hi, hi, Grace.") "I mean, especially now, but in general it's not the worst idea."

"The package said it was both comfortable and supportive," Zoe said, smiling softly when Grace waved back to Juliet. "How are you holding up?"

"As well as can be expected," Rory said honestly, rocking Juliet a little. "I mean, Anakin's fine and the kids are fine, and I can't ask for more, right?" She paused, and added, "Do you need anything? I could take Grace for an afternoon to play with Juliet, if you need to focus kid-free."

"You don't have to--" Zoe started automatically, because the thought of anyone else having Grace genuinely scared her at the moment. But Rory had Juliet, so she had to know how Zoe was feeling right now. "Actually, that would be real nice of you. An afternoon of not having to worry about her could be good."

Katniss and Wesley were here as soon as both could be. And while Katniss wasn't one for public displays of affection nearly ever, this was a special circumstance, and for that reason her fingers were tightly wound through Wesley's.

Wesley squeezed her hand as they sat, not sure of what to say. If this was the end -- and it seemed like it might be -- he didn't know what words he could offer her.

Dany arrived with all three dragons -- Drogon on one shoulder, Rhaegal on the other, and Viserion cradled in her arms. They were getting large enough that it was uncomfortable to carry all three, but she hardly noticed. She wasn't letting them out of her sight after the loss of her silver this morning.

Tyrion's eyes flickered over the dragons as he approached Dany. "How long has it been since you heard from home?" he asked. He didn't bother with formalities, but his tone wasn't rude either.

"A fortnight," she answered after a moment. Now was not the time for hostility over far-away family names. "Two of my bloodriders are gone." And she probably should have said they were Drogo's, to maintain the ruse, but it was not a time for politics, either. "Yourself?"

"About the same," Tyrion concurred. "Dear Prince Joffrey was missing, then. No answers to my messages since."

Dany delicately quirked one silver brow. "You seem sarcastic about your nephew's disappearance. Not fond of the boy?"

"He's known since birth that he was to be king. I am as fond as any uncle could be of a boy like that."

Tyrion had never bothered to hide his contempt for Joffrey, and hardly saw the point of doing so now. The world that mattered in might well have been swallowed whole.

"He is king, at home for me," Dany offered. "And a very poor one at that."

She didn't like Joffrey either, but in her case it was because he was sitting in her chair, so to speak.

“A totally unbiased opinion, of course,” Tyrion said, a flicker of a smile visiting his face before it vanished.

“The best I can offer is the hope he’ll grow out of it, and the small consolation he doesn’t appear to be a concern for either of us at present.”
