During the day, Jaina had to do something to keep herself busy, which meant training. When today's run brought her by Galactica Point, she was relieved to see who she did there. "You made it!"
Arthur had still been staring at his phone - damn it, Romeo! - when she called. His head jerked up immediately-- and if his answering "Jaina!" had held more than its fair share of desperate joy, well.
She jogged over, and hopefully you didn't mind hugs, Arthur, because the things that were going on totally required people to hug each other. "It's good to see you."
Arthur and hugs generally did not really agree with one another, but he was used to Francine, and hugs from girls shorter than him were decidedly less awkward than hugs from a hyper beanpole of a wizard.
So he returned it, without making much of an embarrassment of himself. "It's good to see you too," he said, though now seriousness was seeping back in. "Though I'd hoped the circumstances would be better."
"Looks like. People are reporting disappearances from their worlds, but no one from here's disappeared themselves," she said. "Though there was one day last week where things turned black. I have no idea if that's related or just a Fandom thing."
"It might have just been Fandom being Fandom," she shrugged. "How are you doing with... that?" She did have some idea of what it was like to lose your home as you watched, but it wasn't exactly a uniform experience for everyone.
"Still unaffected so far." Don't think she didn't feel guilty about being able to say that. "But Luke and Tahiri are both having people disappear from theirs, so I'm sure it's only a matter of time."
"Let's hope we beat this before it gets that far," Arthur said, shaking his head. "We've been trying to use magic to stop it for... at least a week now."
