Caritas - Saturday evening after 3MD [Open]

Sep 17, 2011 13:05

Once the dates were over, GOB made his way back toward the bar and started bossing Tino around, just like old times. "Okay, let's show everyone how a real pro tends bar. Tino! Get me another scotch!" Yep. A real pro made Tino do all the work. These were tricks you never forgot, even years after leaving the bar business.

Where you can mod Tino for fast service or talk to GOB and make him make Tino get you something.

[OOC: I'll be AFK from around 4 Central until... I don't know, 2 or 3 hours later. I'll be back tonight!]

Howard had another scotch and hopefully far more ladies around than any time before.

He was okay with tonight. Even if he did 'date' three men.

Cindy was getting a little tired of wine and noticing Howard's drink, decided a scotch would be a nice change, too.

"Macallan, twelve year," she told Tino, before turning to give Howard a smile. "Saw your drink and couldn't resist."

"Then you have excellent taste," Howard replied. Ah, a woman who didn't seem likely to lecture him about his use of the word 'dames'.

She'd lived through the forties, too. Besides, she could always kick his ass if he needed it. Or maybe just shoot him.

"When it comes to scotch?" Cindy said, offering her hand. "You're damn right I do. Cindy Perrault, teacher up at the school."

Howard took it, leaning forward to press a kiss to her knuckles. "Howard Stark, Stark Industries."

Cindy didn't bother to try to hide the smile. What? She was an old (old, old, old) fashioned girl at heart.

By several centuries.

"So you're the one I have to thank for getting rid of that eye-sore in town," she said, toasting him with her scotch that Tino'd just handed over. "Much obliged, believe me."

It didn't have a lens flare. Who cared what else it looked like--NO LENS FLARE.

"Or because you didn't want to chase away your potential customers," Cindy countered. "That's just good business sense."

"Which I have in spades," Howard replied. "Why is it that I only see the women out on nights like this?"

Because hearing students talk about sausagefests was hilarious?

"You mean, nights when there's something more interesting than being ogled by unwashed pirates or served by your own students?" Cindy asked. "The zombies just aren't enough entertainment for me, I guess."

"...zombies?" He hadn't paid attention to the band before.

Cindy just turned and pointed to the band. "Welcome to Fandom."

"After a few weekends like the last one, the zombies start to lose their shock factor." She gave Howard a sympathetic look. "Want another scotch?"

"I'd never turn one down." Oh, Howard. Not quite as charming.
