Bo snickered. "I don't think I've ever dated anybody long enough to have an ex, but I'm pretty sure there were some Chrises and Terrys of both genders in there at some point." That was a lie, but only a small one: the one person she'd dated long enough to count wasn't someone she'd ever think of as an ex.

Okay, fuck that, games were stupid, and so was pride. More importantly, that had to be heartbreaking on Bo's end, to have some kind of condition like that.
"Not safe how?" Alex asked. "I'm ... not going to lie, I was -- and am! -- interested, but if that's just ... not possible, then I'd still like to get to know you. I could use some more friends around here."
But they were out of time. So she stood up, offering her hand. "Can we talk, afterwards?"
