Dolf... was not sweeping or doing anything physically taxing today. He already had a Saint Bernard lying on his feet, unwilling to move, and he was feeling a bit depressed around the edges. It wasn't for any identifiable reason this time, though he had many; autumn just made him somber to a fault.

And so he would be spending today sitting behind the counter, staring drearily out the window while a Saint Bernard drooled on his shoes.

Apu was not impressed.
