Fraser had done this once before but it still didn't mean he was looking forward to it. BJ was a good kid and he deserved to be with his actual parents.

"You be on your best behavior, BJ," Fraser instructed him. "And make sure you keep learning as much as you can."

BJ considered this and then decided, "Do you think I can get a puppy if I ask nice?"

BJ looked at his mother uncertainly, then leaned to whisper in Fraser's ear. "I want a kitty. But Mommy hates them."

Fraser laughed because that had not been what he'd been expecting to hear. He leaned forward and kissed the top of BJ's head. "I think if you behave yourself and ask your mother very nicely, you'll get your kitten. You'll have to help take care of her, of course."

Robin hid a smile as she fished a pen out of her pocket. (Honestly, she didn't hate cats that much. They just weren't as awesome as dogs.) "Now, you know you're not supposed to draw on yourself, right BJ?"

"Not since I draw that moustache," he agreed, which Robin kind of boggled at.

Robin wrote 'Dear Other Robin, Get the kid a cat. Make sure it's a cute one. Love, Awesome Robin' on BJ's forearm. "There you go, kiddo."

"I got a tattoo!" BJ yelled, showing Fraser proudly.

"You did!" Fraser said, kind of boggling at the mustache thing himself. He almost wanted to ask about it. "Now, you promise that you'll be a good helper when your mom gets you a kitty, all right?"
