Late Wednesday afternoon, Vida had gotten a delivery of the Love Monkeys she'd ordered, but instead of the cute little stuffed animals she was expecting, she found herself with a shipment of small very much alive monkeys that immediately launched themselves at her legs, clinging for dear life.
"Oh, dear, while you are terribly adorable, I can't possibly take care of you all!" she'd told them. She gave them water and Valentine's candy (it seemed to be what they wanted to eat) and shut them in the back room while she made calls to the supplier to come pick them back up.
Pity she hadn't realized the monkeys would know how to open up the window and escape. Ooops.
