Of course, it was still pretty early. This was just the beginning of it.
She'd been mostly laying low, seeing if she could get away with them letting her smoke in the cell until they realized they were being idiotic about this and let her out.
"I'm sorry, I'm still a little unsure on that point," Hook said with an innocent look. "After all, two consenting adults doing what adults do isn't normally under the jurisdiction of the law."
"Casheriff," Hook repeated, filing that away in his lexicon of 'things that will get on certain people's nerves'. "Well then, Sheriff Vimes, should I hold my wrists out for a good slap and then I'll be on my way? I do have a class to teach on the morrow."
"Ah, that's how we're playing it," Hook said, settling in to the cell. "I'm an old man, sheriff. And I see you plan to become one as well. Paperwork, indeed."
Where people can talk to them. When they tag In, of course. Otherwise it would be a mite bit awkward.
