'Dite's Decadent Delights, Monday evening
It had been a bad day for Aphrodite. She'd first tried to materialize herself at the store, to check in on Karla, and found herself several streets away. That -- was an eyeopener as she watched her favorite restaurant change into - something else. Something else not a restaurant. Which was worse than it just changing to German food, which was so not her favorite.
When she arrived at the store, without Chinese food for lunch, dang it, she found it still closed. Since Karla was supposed to have opened it hours before, she was immediately concerned. Moreso when she found Hercules inside, being chased around by a bunch of little tiny women in white with wings. He yelped everytime one of them pinched him, and 'Dite had zapped several holes in the walls before realizing they were immune to her spells.
She finally maneuvered them into a corner by putting up extra walls, then bricked them in. And sealed the whole thing with cement. Anyone coming into the store should not ask about the gray block sitting against the far wall.
Then she'd found out, via a podcast, why Karla wasn't at the store. She couldn't help but facepalm. "I swear, I'm going to chain that girl to the dorms."
Now, she was was sitting by a window and taking pot shots at goblins in the dark. 'Dite had figured out she couldn't do anything to them with her magic, but that didn't mean she couldn't fight them. She'd created a bunch of ice balls, and a sling shot.
"Ooh! Got him!"
She'd be here all night, lights brightly burning. Hercules was being uncharacteristically quiet while sitting in a pouch on 'Dite's back. After last time, she wasn't taking any chances.
"Oh, no, Island, you're not getting my cat or my store this time!" She reloaded. "Bombs awaaaay!"
