Karla was had her shields up, not wanting to earn yet another lecture on the topic. Her Cinquedea waiting to be called in, but she was mostly using Craft to blast the nasty things. Using a sword meant letting these things get closer to her face and, shield or not, she wasn't all that keen on that.

"Stay down, damn you!" she hissed. Wretched things.

During a lull in attacks, Raven moved over to Karla's side. "Are you well?" she asked, looking her over for any injuries.

"I'm fine," Karla said, glancing over to smile at Raven. "Safe and protected within my shields. No way these nasty things are getting inside."

Her smile faded as she looked more closely at Raven. "How are you? I know violence bothers you."

"It does," Raven said, inclining her head. "But my concern for you and the others who are fighting is stronger than that. I came to see if anyone needed healing. Though I admit I am feeling very unsettled."

[glacial_witch]

"Have you been absorbing everything's aggression again?" Karla didn't-quite-demand. "Raven, that's dangerous, even for you."

Raven shook her head. "No, not all," she said. "I took the aggression of the first that attacked me" -- she touched her hand to the torn shoulder of her shirt -- "but when I realized there were so many of them, I knew that would be a futile course of action."

Karla hissed when she saw the torn shirt. "And you teleported away from them?"

It was sort of a question. If you squinted.

"One bit me, but it was not bad," Raven said, following Karla's eyes. She pushed open the rip in her shirt wider so that Karla would see her shoulder was undamaged.

"I used my Soul-Self to take them inside me," she went on. "And then returned to the dorms to assist with healing those who were injured. I have been there until now."

"Like the lizard?" Karla asked. "Raven, I don't think you should be starting some kind of menagerie in there."

[trigons_child]

"But I could not allow them to continue to roam free and potentially attack someone else," Raven said. She pressed her hand to her chest. "Though I have been feeling unsettled for awhile now." If it was normal food and eating, she might call it indigestion.

[glacial_witch]

"Well, if they're still all flying around in there..." Karla borrowed one of Raven's handwavy gestures, "...maybe you can feel that?"

[trigons_child]

"I have never been disturbed by such sensations before," Raven said, her brow furrowing. "Unless there is something unnatural about them that is affecting me." Unnatural meaning other than being flying piranha, of course.

[glacial_witch]

How about zombie flying piranhas. Was that unnatural enough for her?

Karla look concerned. "Maybe you should release them again?"

They were alive when she "ate" them!

She cast a worried look around. "There are already so many," she said. "I do not wish to endanger anyone. But perhaps you are right."

But then they got to tangle with the lizard! That couldn't have ended well for the piranhas!

Karla shook her head, looking troubled. "Better here, with all the fighters about, rather than elsewhere. And if they're bothering you, I'm concerned..."

The discomfort was beginning to become unbearable, so Raven nodded. "Very well," she said, summoning up her Soul-Self. It rose from her shoulders and spat out a dozen zombie piranha out, all showing the damage of vicious bites from their own kind. They'd turned on each other and come back as zombies.
