Rick was very wisely (at least in his opinion) deferring to Kyle when it came to fortifying the manor. Especially now that the things outside seemed even more wrong than they had yesterday.

But like yesterday, if anyone on the island was in need of a place to stay, the manor's doors were open. Metaphorically.
