The Perk [Wednesday evening]
After another dream had woken her in the middle of the night with a warm feeling, and a stronger pull towards the island, Aravis had dressed at dawn and waited for Cor to wake to say goodbye. He'd been concerned, but she assured him that she needed to do this, and that she'd be back in a matter of days. (Though, she added, it might be longer, as Fandom's time moved differently.
With a kiss and a promise to return within the fortnight, Aravis took off through the woods, pushing her horse (not Hwin) faster than she would have normally. Now that she was in Fandom, she figured that the evening called for a cup of tea before settling into her hotel room.
So here she was in the Perk, enjoying a cup of spiced tea with honey and quietly wondering what she was doing here. It was strange.
