With plans in motion that required Dimitri to be away on Thursday, he'd managed to swap shifts with Rose.

Much to Jessi's pleasure.

"You're working Tuesdays again!" she squeed, beaming at Dimitri as she leaned her tightly spandexed self over the counter. "Did Rose get fired?" Aww, look at her pretending to be sad.

It seemed there was never an escape from Jessi being an idiot. Dimitri didn't bother looking up from his work. "No. Is that going to make you quit?" If his tone hadn't been so flat, someone might have thought he was teasing.

"Oh no, I'd totally pick up a shift if you needed it," Jessi said sweetly after taking a moment to figure that out. "So you don't have to hold off on firing her because no one would cover her." She beamed at Dimitri, fluttering her long fake eyelashes.

"No, that's not necessary," Dimitri told her in a manner that would have been called hasty if he cared about her feelings. "Don't you have a...dance class to run?" Remembering the name of her specialty also seemed to be more than Dimitri was willing to invest in their conversation.

"Dimiiiiiiitriiiiiii," she whined. "It's Tae Bo. Not dancing. But I was thinking about starting a jazz-fusion-yoga-spin class? Do you think people would like that? I could show you some of my moves?" Ever hopeful, she was.

...That was quite possibly the most annoying sound ever heard and Dimitri rubbed at one ear in his continued refusal to look up. "Again, not necessary." Shuddering would be unprofessional. "But feel free to share your ideas with the others. Rose and Ashley might be willing to help get it started." Or kill him for offering their services.

He waited when she didn't run off immediately. "Go somewhere not here."

"Fiiiine," she said with a sigh. "I'll tell them you told them they had to help." With a toss of that blonde hair, she sashayed off, completely convinced he was watching her every step of the way.

It was kind of sick how deluded she was. But Dimitri was free of her and had yet to remove himself to the office so the day could be considered a win.

Also, he wasn't a bear.
