'Dite's Decadent Delights, Tuesday afternoon

Apr 27, 2010 09:51

In what appeared to be a Cleansing Burst Of Synchronicity, 'Dite's had just received a shipment of t-shirts and tank tops referencing something called "Boobquake." Raven put them out, but no, she wasn't wearing one, thank you very much.

Going to a sex shop when you were bored sounded kind of cliche but Hannibal hadn't ever argued that he wasn't. Besides, he hadn't been in awhile. Seeing a familiar face when he pushed open the door just made the visit better.

"Hey!" Hannibal said, waving cheerfully. "How's business?"

"Quiet," Raven said, giving Hannibal a shy smile and trying not to blush like she always did when someone came into the store. "How are you today?"

"Good. Bored." He idly looked at a few things as he wandered inside. "No more high school classes means I gotta lot of time to fill. Sex is always a fun way to fill time."

Sorry Raven, it was just so easy to make you blush.

And blush she did. Raven's cheeks pinked up and she suddenly found the counter fascinating. "Then you have come to the right place," she managed to say. "Though if you have questions, Lady Aphrodite would truly be the one you wish to speak to, not me."

"I don't have questions," he assured her, smiling at that blush. He decided to let her off easy and came to lean against the counter. "I'm just here because I was in the neighborhood. How's things with you? Get all your classes done okay?"

The subject change was a relief. "Yes," she said, looking back up. "I was very satisfied with my courses this semester, and I am looking forward to the summer workshops, though I know those can be very...unusual." Like when she'd gotten stuck in the Art of Seduction.

"I've always loved summer workshops," Hannibal replied, grinning. "I once took a whole class on things to do at the beach. Getting graded on swimming and building sandcastles was amazing. I so don't wanna graduate."

Raven didn't like thinking about graduation because so many of her friends would be leaving. "Are you staying for the entire summer?" she asked. "Or will you depart sooner than that?"

"I think I'm sticking around," he said and nodded. "Probably get a job somewhere in town and try to see just how much more weirdness I can experience before I gotta get outta dodge. I'm kind of attached to this island."

"I still have two more years of school ahead of me," Raven said, "unless I have reason to leave earlier sooner than that. But I hope not. I do not wish to leave." Because any reason would probably be a bad one.

"And who would run the sex shop on Tuesdays if you weren't here?" he asked, obviously teasing her.

Blush. Blush blush blush. "Well, you said you were looking for a job," Raven said. "I am certain Lady Aphrodite has some openings available."

So not dirty.

"I might do that." Hannibal tried to imagine himself working in a sex shop. He could see it even if it meant selling things. "So, did you end up the size of a thimble last weekend like I did?'

Raven nodded. "And I was pleased, at least, that it was not nearly as unsettling as being turned into a boy or some strange alternate version of myself," she said. "Though I fear I was not an ordinary child."

"I was a loud child," Hannibal said and smirked. "And thought I was the King of Awesome. Why weren't you ordinary?"

"My childhood was unusual," Raven explained. "I was never allowed to play, and I was unfamiliar with emotions. I was much like I was when I first arrived in Fandom."
