If you needed him, he was the guy behind the counter reading a comic book and wearing headphones blasting Public Enemy instead.

"Hola!" announced Carmela as she entered the store. "What are you listening to?"

"Hola," Hurley said, slipping off the headphones. "Uhhh, nothing. Just like... music and stuff."

Classic rap was so not kid appropriate. "You lose your mom out there or something?"

"No, she hasn't lost her mom," said Hoshi warily as she followed Carmela into the store. "At least, I think I'm her mom. She's being very cryptic about everything."

Hurley blinked and then chuckled. "Oh man, this again?" he said, remembering last year.

"Hey kid. What's your name?"
