As the night went on, an assortment of prom favours were replacing the masks on the table just inside the tent. Everyone was free to take a picture frame and disposable camera to record their own Prom memories. Also were shot glasses with the Fandom High gremlin on them. Such things happened when Dean Stinson was the Student Council advisor

This was Barney's favorite part, taking the stage at the perfect moment, announced by the opening screams of You Give Love a Bad Name to ensure he had the attention of all. And maybe the lyrics would stop a neanderthal bartender from slapping him this time.

"Now that I have your undivided attention, let me start by congratulating the men of Fandom for not scaring off the hot ladies. Let's get a round of applause for these dudes!" Yup, he'd wait and pretend it was happening if necessary. "Now, the reason I've interrupted DJ Bob - your 2010 Prom Court selections have been decided."

Under the bright spotlight, Barney raised an envelope in the air. "Enclosed within are the names of the hottest, most popular people. The kids you wish you could be and will curse behind their backs for ignoring your FarmVille gift requests because even though Easter is over, you still want some damned bunny chairs and how is that too much to ask?"

"...Ahem. Now, let's get to it!" The envelope was quickly torn and tossed aside with a shocked gasp. "Starting with the runners up, Prom Prince and Princess are Mat Cauthon and Dinah Lance! But more importantly, your 2010 Prom King is that StuCo stud Sam Winchester, accompanied by your reigning Homecoming Queen and brand new Prom Queen Rose Hathaway! Good thing the whole giants with midgets thing hasn't been overplayed or we'd be in trouble with this pair. Everyone else, don't forget to take a shot on your way out, winners, get thee to the dance floor. Hit it, Bob!"
