Mulan arrived at the shop today. Not just because it was where she worked and today was her shift. She also had intentions to buy some flowers for herself to brighten up her room a little more. She just couldn't decide what she wanted just yet.

Hurley wandered in, and waved at Mulan.

"Hey," he greeted. "I don't suppose you've seen a CD somewhere in here?"

"Hello, Hurley," Mulan replied, waving back. "I might have? Except I don't know what a CD is."

Ooh, something new she could learn about.

"...whoa," Hurley said. "No one taught you about those yet?"

It was obvious the answer, but Hurley was still caught by surprise.

"I have a feeling I will be learning new things about this world for a long time," Mulan replied.

"Good point," Hurley said. "But CDs are, like, little plastic circle things. They have recordings of music on them."

[nodaintyflower]

"Oh, I have been learning a little bit about music," Mulan said. "The music I listened to did not come from a plastic circle, though. It was from inside one of the computers in the lab."

[likes_chicken]

"Yeah. They keep tiny bands in computers just for that," Hurley joked.

And then he felt bad. "Uhhh, that's just a joke, by the way."

Mulan chuckled. "Those would have to be really really small bands. Though I suppose, around here, that could be possible."

"But yeah," Hurley said. "I kinda left my copy of the new OK Go album here on Friday. I think. It's about..." he held up his fingers to try and indicated size of a CD case "this big. Square. The CD is inside it."

Mulan looked around the area behind the counter. She spotted something square and plastic, grabbed it, and held it up. "Is this it?"

"Yes!" Hurley said, raising his arms in victory for a second. He then reached out for it. "Thanks. I was worried I'd lost it."

"Nope. Looks like it was safe back here," Mulan said. "They must be really good if you were that worried about it."

"Oh, not like, the disc specifically," Hurley admitted. "Just don't like losing things. Especially things I spent money on. But it's good stuff."

"Maybe I should go to the music store sometime," Mulan said.

"If you go on Saturday, I'm there," Hurley said. "But all the people that work there are cool. Well, I don't know them real well, but... yeah."

"Well, I may end up going more than once," Mulan said. "There's so much music for me to learn about. I want to figure out what I might like or not."
