It was silly to be nervous. Silly. Only she absolutely was, and while Rose didn't think that Dimitri would turn her down flatly, she kept picturing it. When she wasn't picturing how Mason looked under that tree. It wasn't really a good night, no.

"I'm working," he replied gruffly, looking off to her right, intent on not having whatever bizarre conversation she was looking for in this establishment while Adrian of all people was within earshot.

She turned, making totally sure Adrian couldn't somehow read her lips or hear her. "Yeah," she said, her eyes imploring him to assent. "Or - I hope so."
