Today's sermon was all about procreation and the Miracle of Life (yeah, that phrase clearly had verbal capitals on it. It's a talent). Having already put a fair amount of time explaining about the first step of procreation -- being what many people chose to get up to with their various bits -- Castiel instead focused on the later steps, ( Read more... )

The sermon was absolutely nothing like what Dimitri was expecting from a church service. But he wasn't there to listen, it was more about sitting quietly in the church to regain some sense of peace before he headed to work.

That wasn't actually happening today.

Francine might have raised an eyebrow about the level of detail, and blushed a little through various parts, but overall she was mostly nodding along and occasionally glancing at Chuck and trying not to snicker.

The way he talks about his cat, it's hard to tell if he's a proud pet-father or creepily interested the whole process.

"Is church always this... informative?" Shelley asked, not really knowing what she was getting at.

"I mean, is that typically what you hear here?" She laughed, because those last two words were kinda the same, and that always made her laugh.

Castiel wasn't certain why she was laughing, but then, he never understood human humor that well, anyway. "I've never attended services at another church," he confessed. "It's fairly typical for my sermons, though."

Interview over and done with. I think it went pretty well. Lord only knows if I'll get it, since I know the other person going for it will interview at least just as well.

Fun with applying for a promotion within one's own job. You actually KNOW everyone involved!
