"Hey, I'm right there with you. Whatever you are inside is what you always were. Screw genetics." Emmett could do earnest scarily well. Because he was actually being earnest. "But I don't date girls, so yeah, kinda bad at it by definition."

Shh yes, 'date' would be a very loose interpretation of anything he'd ever done with a boy either, but that was beside the point.
