The Arms Hotel, Saturday [1/23]

Jan 23, 2010 15:20

Ellie didn't quite realize anything weird was happening today, so she showed up for her usual shift at the hotel. She probably would have anyway since she had missed last week due to the crazy weather. Everything appeared to be normal, so she settled behind the desk reading a magazine.

It wasn't until someone rang the little bell on the desk that she knew this was not going to be an ordinary day. That someone turned out to be something hideous laughing maniacally. Or multiple somethings. "Uh...guessing you're not looking for a hotel room?"

Since she was pretty sure their only response would be violence of some kind, she took off running toward the kitchen before it could attack. Normally, she avoided that place as much as possible, but again, not an ordinary day. Besides, Gunther had a butcher knife and the sous-chef had a rolling pin. She figured it was safest there.

Safest maybe, but after a few moments of being barricaded in the kitchen, she almost thought it would be easier to face the critters outside. Her ideal hiding place would be a broom closet with a hot guy. Not barricaded with Gunther, listening to him argue with the kitchen staff. Ugh.
