Castiel looked a little grumpy up at the pulpit, today.

"There are many things," he said, "which humanity does which I simply . . . do not comprehend. I'm told that there are many things that I say and do which humanity doesn't comprehend, so I suppose this is fair, but I thought I would talk about one of the human things today.

"Was it your intention to make me feel incredibly guilty?" Chuck asked. "Because if it was, you did a great job."

"Well I figured that. I'd hope if you wanted to lecture me specifically you wouldn't do it in front of an audience," Chuck said. "Although Arthur would probably love that, speaking of schadenfreude..."

"Arthur. I don't believe I've spoken with him. Which one is he?"

"Blond guy. Looks like he's in a bad mood all the time."

"Ah," Castiel said. "I had started to wonder if that boy took pleasure in anything."

"Punching me tends to make him very happy," Chuck said. "Oh, that and his big eared manservant."

Then again, looking at Merlin made Chuck happy too. Kid looked like an overgrown hobbit.

"He punches his manservant?" Castiel sounded faintly appalled at the idea.

"What? No. Well, I doubt it, anyway," he said. "I'm just saying the manservant seems to make him happy."

"Ah." Castiel frowned. "Well, that's better than punching you making him happy."

Chuck smirked. "I agree. I'd love to say I didn't do anything to deserve getting punched but we both know that'd be a flat out lie."

Castiel sighed. "Unfortunately, yes. And vengeance, while decidedly best left up to the agents of God, is not quite what I was talking about."

"You're talking about people who enjoy the misfortune of those who don't deserve it," Chuck said. "I'm familiar with that."

"I am getting better about it," Chuck added. "I used to be way worse. Now I kind of feel guilty about it."
