Peyton was here, nibbling at a variety of foods and hoping to run into some old friends. Any old friends.

Angela had apparently completely failed as a best friend, since it took her until today to actually hunt Peyton down and pounce on her for a hug.

"Well, there you are!" Like Peyton had been hiding and it hadn't been partly her failure there.

"Good," she laughed, "were-- yeah, we're really good." Or more than good, but that could probably be gathered by her grin. "And my dad didn't kill him, which is always positive."
