"I will hope sincerely that this is not the sort of establishment where one cannot smoke," said Robin Sr. Because he had a big, fat cigar, and there was nothing that went with Scotch like smoking a cigar, bureaucrats be damned.

"Please, there was some guy in here smoking cloves last week," Robin said, rolling her eyes. "Light up, Dad."

"Thank you," he said, pulling his cigar out and lighting it for a puff. "Would you like one? I brought Cubans, as I imagine they're hard to acquire here."

"Ooooh, yes please," she said eagerly. "My friend Barney is the only other cigar-smoker I know here. It's very sad."

"That's quite tragic, Robin," he said, taking another cigar from his jacket pocket. "I shall have to leave you with some Cubans before I leave. You know, it is quite difficult calling you Robin and not RJ."

(soooo sorry. am helping with links and thus SLOW LIKE DOOM)

"...you can call me RJ if you want," she decided, sighing. "I mean, you're Robin, too, so it's probably weird. Just as long as you acknowledge I'm a female RJ."

"I don't believe there's anything inherent in 'RJ' that specifies the recipient needs to be male," he said.

"I'm just saying," she replied with a firm nod. "And, um. If you...want to come to the wedding, to like...give me away, or whatever, you have to call me Robin then."

Robin took a lengthy puff from his cigar, mulling that over.

"Very well," he said. "You drive a hard bargain. I have taught you well. When is this wedding of yours?"

"No idea. We've only been engaged like two months," she said, shrugging. She saw nooooo reason to set a date, nope.

"The nicer venues will book early," he said. "Though there are always cancellations. Gratuity can get you placed high on the waiting list."

"We'll probably just do it, like, here. Outside or something," Robin said, shrugging again. "I haven't even thought about it, Dad."

"Well, you should," he said solemnly. "My eldest daughter isn't getting married in someone's back yard. Only the best for my girl."

T bounced into the bar, ready to party. She had heard that this place didn't card and that sounded like a good time to her.

"Can I get something super fruity and alcoholic?" she asked.

[ooc note: T is the 16 year old alternate personality of Tara Gregson, who is in her late 30s. So while she acts like and is dressed like a teenager, it's obvious she is older. And she'll flirt with any guy who catches her eye!]

Robin tilted her head a little at the woman, but hey, booze was always fun. "How's a mai tai sound?"
