Harper was hobbling on a swollen foot and wishing she had a do-over. She wasn't looking to cheerful.

"I hope not," said Harper. "I'll just put some ice on it tonight and maybe I'll go tomorrow if the swelling doesn't go down."

But she was fairly certain her foot wasn't supposed to bend the way it did when she fell and didn't sound too confident.

Harper got comfortable as she waited, or at least tried to get comfortable. It just worked best if she stood on one foot and kept her weight off the bad one.

[He can definitely find her a crutch, since I have an icon of Harper with crutches!]

Jack emerged shortly, dragging a slightly bedraggled crutch awkwardly under one arm. He shook his head as he offered it to Harper. "I'm not sure how new this is...."

"But it will work for tonight," said Harper. "And I'm sure it won't be so bad in the morning, once I get some rest."

But first, Harper was going to head down to Caritas with Dinah. It would be a while before she remembered to put her feet up.

"Those things do tend to go away with rest," Jack agreed, and looked around the gathered crowd. "I enjoyed acting, but I think I'm glad this is over."

"I'm glad it's over, too. I thought I could relax with all the costumes done early, and then I had to rip up and re-do them for the casting changes," said Harper. "I'll do costumes for Geoffrey again, though. We don't always agree but it's a good experience for me. Not sure if I still want to act, though."

"I liked my costume," Jack told her. "I'll probably try acting again. I like the next play."

"Taking some time off from the plays sounds good, but I know I'd totally miss it," said Harper. "I'll definitely be around for the next one."
