Firekeeper grinned at him. "Is very kind of you," she said. "I am not knowing much about these. Back home, I have only beened to one birthing-day party. Was for a prince, and so perhaps not the usual."

"Back at the end of July," Ben said with a little shrug. "It wasn't a big deal here. I went home for the party. My father's birthday is only a few days after mine, so we usually celebrate together."
