Ahhhh, what a marvelous day it was for a fight!

Of course, every day was a marvelous day for a fight for Minsc! He was easy to please like that, cracking both his knuckles and his muscles before going to see someone out.

After the ride that morning, Arthur felt in... something of a shape to at least go to Fight Club. So he was there, but lurking near the back, thoughtful.

Turtle shook out her hands and stretched a little, trying to psyche herself up for a fighting mood.

Daisy didn't have as much time for her usual meditations today, with the convention going on, so she dedicated herself to a good stretch on the mats from the start of the meeting. And, chuckling, fought hardcore with the urge to start making a few catcalls to Max for having been singled out.

Oh, hey, it was the cute cop. "So... is this whole... thing" -- Jack gestured around -- "officially approved of, then? Or are you off-duty?" He smiled at her. "By the way -- I'm still not Gibbs."

"Oh, shush," said Daisy. "There were mutant alligators everywhere; it was an honest mistake. And definitely off-duty when I'm here. And not even the 'off-duty' where I just tell everyone I'm off-duty when really I'm not."

"Bah, there's no such thing are REALLY 'off-duty'," Jack told her. "It gets in your blood. ...But it's good to know. Being prosecuted for assault just for showing up would kinda SUCK."

Now that was an interesting statement, especially if you considered that Daisy was here in part trying to get some of it out of her blood. Or her brain, at the very least.

"So long as it's all consensual," said Daisy, "I can assure you of no trouble from at least this officer. Although, really, if it is an issue, I'm going to be in an awful lot of trouble with my boss."

Jack raised a finger. "Ahhhh, but what he doesn't know can't hurt you, am I right?"

And while Jack raised a finger, Daisy raised an eyebrow. "Are you aware of a thing called squirrel radio around here, by chance?"

"...Right, forgot about that," Jack conceded. "Those little buggers seem to get everywhere, don't they?"

Daisy nodded. "If I ever need to run any secret ops, you can bet I'm getting a crate of rum and hiring them on. Plus, I transcript all the weekend broadcasts for the station's files."

And, no, the idea of leaving out any potentially incriminating bits didn't even occur to Daisy.

"Rum?" Jack asked. "Don't they work for acorns?"

"You'd think so, wouldn't you?" said Daisy with a grin. "But, no, they like rum. It's a pirate thing."

There was a very self-conscious pause there, knowing she probably sounded crazy, but, really, she should be used to that by now, so she continued.

"They're pirate squirrels. Thankfully without all the looting and razing and raping, otherwise I'd never have a moment of peace."
