He was really spoiling for another fight with zombies.

"You're at work?" he said, sounding surprised as he popped his head through the door.

"Why shouldn't I be?" Kaylee asked, peeking around the counter. "Shop ain't gonna open itself, monsters or no."

"Shop's probably not going to stop them from coming in, either," Ben said. "Ever gotten into a fight?"

"Not really," she said thoughtfully, "but if they come in there's lots of hidey holes for me t'go. An' people might need stuff from here t'defend themselves!"
