A portly zombie, the side of its face clotted with dried blood (and a noticable lack of ear), and missing a hand (though technically, it was in its pocket), shambled into the store.

"Duuuuuuude," it moaned.

Harper gawked. "Oh my god! They got you, Hurley?"

[likes_chicken]

"Duuuuuuude?" the zombie moaned. It attempted to pick something up with the arm that no longer had a hand.

That didn't work so well.

"Um, what happened to your hand, Hurley?" asked Harper, cringing.

Ben liked to check in on his employees when the world was going insane. It made him feel better to know that they weren't dead or anything just because they decided to come into work instead of calling off by reason of apocalypse. Also, it was a good excuse to take his mask and gloves off for a while. They reeked of zombie fluids. He needed some time without them on.

"Hey Harper. Everything going okay here?" he asked as he walked in.

"So far, I haven't had any trouble," said Harper. "There was a zombie who came in, but he turned out to be my big sibling. He left without a fight when I started shrieking."

"That must have been weird for you," Ben said sympathetically.

"I really wish I could do something to help him," said Harper. "I tried asking him what I could do, and all he could say was, 'Duuuude.'"
