Jack wasn't sure if....yeah, screw it. He was going to visit her anyways. "Hi," he said, holding up the bag. "I know it was just yesterday, but... I brought burgers."

"Hi," she said, still looking rather guilty about yesterday, "thanks, I'm glad you stopped by,"

He wasn't going to mention yesterday.
