Chilly Boulder Ice Creamery - Sunday Afternoon

Sep 28, 2008 15:49

Sora had promised Blysse that they would go out for ice cream together just because she had never tried ice cream and to Sora that just didn't see right! The three of them (Yes three. They couldn't leave Blind Seer out of it) stared at the display case at the vast array of flavors available to them ( Read more... )

Firekeeper was frankly... a little overwhelmed by the display. And had no clue what any of the little signs in front of the flavors said.

"I am thinking... strawberry?" she said hesitantly. Strawberries were in lots of desserts, she reasoned, so logically there should be some ice cream of that flavor.

"Sure!" Sora smiled brightly. "Are there any other fruits that you like? They probably have it in ice cream form."

"Blueberries is good," Firekeeper nodded. "Berries and fruits is not very wolfish thing to eat, but human-shape is needing them, so. I eat."

Sora nodded agreeing with her. "Yeah... I don't think they'd have any meat flavored ice cream. But... maybe peanut butter?"

"What is?" Yeah, she was getting a lot of use out of this phrase.

"Well.. you're thinking something for Blind Seer right? Well my friend Goofy is a dog and he really likes Peanut Butter. Which is a paste made from nuts and it's sweet and umm... good?"

Firekeeper glanced at Blind Seer. "Will try," she nodded, not bothering to point out that Blind Seer was most definitely not a dog.

Sora knew that, he just wasn't well versed in the differences between the two.

"Okay, if he doens't like it we'll try something else!" Sora nodded to the man behind the counter who swiftly went around getting what they asked. "How about we try these first and then go back for more?"

The man at the counter came back after a moment with a cone each for Blysse and Sora and a bowl of ice cream for the wolf.

"Should we sit down?" Sora asked as he grabbed his sea salt caramel ice cream.

"Am thinking Blind Seer is not fitting on seat," Firekeeper said thoughtfully. "But can maybe sit nearby."

"What about a booth?" He said looking over at the seats near the window and compairing their size to the wolf.

"Or we could jsut sit on the floor with him." Sora was the kinda guy who didn't want to leave people out, or animals.

"Is allowed?" she asked dubiously. Not that she minded sitting on the floor, but she knew human conventions well enough to know it generally wasn't considered proper.

"I think if we're sitting with Blind Seer people won't be questioning us," he grinned and moved over by one of the booths and plopped down on the floor to enjoy his ice cream.

"It's not like we'll be in the way or anything."

"Good point," Firekeeper grinned back, watching Sora to see just how one was supposed to go about eating the ice cream.

Sora was the kind of person who go for the sides first when eating ice cream, and licked at the side of the scoop while turning the con in his hand.

It was a method he had practiced over the years, though in his youth resulted in many fallen cones and tears.

"So can you understand what Blind Seer says?"
