Angela held up her banana with a broad grin. "That depends what it is you think it's about," she said. "... You are probably right to fear, though." Not that Angela was, but she wasn't the sort to be bothered much by that sort of thing.

Unfortunately, Alice was; four months of Fandom had not put very much of a dent in sixteen years of Victorian upbringing.

"I suspect we're discussing the reasons why mothers insisted chaperones be present when their daughters were being courted," she suggested. "Virtue and ... forwardness, although the bits about plastic items and bananas, that seems to be new."

Angela smiled, the innocence was kind of adorable. Poor girl. "Yeah, we're talking about sex, Sweetie."

"Right," Alice said, nodding. "That. Which people from this era seem to do. I mean no offense by that, I beg your pardon. Only that we didn't so much, in mine. Not that I knew of. Perhaps people were amusing themselves in all sorts of ways, and I didn't know of it? But I suspect one would have heard as much. It seems a lively thing to gossip about."

Alice didn't fluster easily, on most topics; this, on the other hand, set her in circles rather quickly.

Peyton was actually pretty damn good at, um, putting a banana in a baggie. Still, she was glad to demonstrate if someone interesting happened to want to see.
