The Park; Monday Afternoon.

It wasn't unusual for Adah to be ready for what she needed to do before it needed to be done or, in this current situation, before she could do it. Most of her things had been shipped for convenience, so Adah sat at the base of a tree in the park with one simple, small suitcase beside her and a notebook in her lap. She had a bit still until her cab should arrive at the causeway to take her to the airport for her flight back to Georgia and back in 1963, but that suited her just fine. It gave her a chance to work on one final tribute to Fandom as she passed the few, slowly dragging hours that remained. Sitting, and sketching. Wildlife, but not the birds or plants that took form in her usual sketches. No, she was sketching squirrels today, many of them. And all of them dying horrible, realistically scribbled deaths.

It was analeptic, really, interrupted only occassionally by a slight sigh and a lift of her eyes, casting her gaze around the park as she tried to not think about how much she'd miss this place, before checking her watch again, seeing how long she had, and then returning to her sketching until it was time.

[[ Adah's last post as a student! Open, of course, for any parkly needs but especially any lingering good-byes! I should be mostly around, but I'll likely disappear for just a wee bit for foodishness ]]
