Selkie Cove, all day Tuesday

Antarctica was one of the coldest places on Earth. And now, just off the coast, was a great big chunk of warmTuesday morning found the beach at Selkie Cove awash with seals. Happy, barking, frolicking seals, who were very pleased to find a polar bear and orca free environment in which to sun themselves

Savannah had never been up close to seals before. She had seen them on TV and stuff, of course, but never up close and personal like this. That would be why, after taking Destiny back to the dorms, she was sitting on some rocks, watching and sketching the seals.
