The people in charge now knew where the kidnapped people were being kept. A party had gathered and they were on their way to the depths of the Underworld to bring their people back, no matter what stood in their way.

Run run run! Once Hades figured out what was going on (he was distracted, okay?), he unleashed the entire demon horde on the rescuers and rescuees. They had to hurry or all would be lost - up the path, up the stairs and to the surface before the horde catches up! One problem with Hades' plan. The horde wasn't able to get through to Fandom until the hole reached full strength. Run!

Harriet ran like the proverbial bat out of hell, and she didn't look back. She knew what happened to people who looked back into the Underworld, and she wasn't taking any chances.

Isabel heard the noises behind her but her attention was focused on climbing up and getting out.

Now dragging along not one unconscious person, but two-- and a crying girl-- Deadpool was hobbling along out of the pit o' hell as fast as he could.

So damn lucky to have that healing factor and to not have to carry the fat kid.

Though Captain America was no spring chicken either...

They didn't move as fast as they could have, but Liir didn't want to startle her. He knew from experience that that would just waste more time.

But that didn't mean he wasn't using the broom just a little to increase their pace. Getting caught in this hellhole wasn't a good idea either.

And Lana fled as quickly as she could manage.

Ooooooooooh, crap. That was bad.

Rikku was going to seriously hope everyone got out okay, and she was going to run for it.

Right. Running was not the easiest of endeavors, when one has spent the last day or so in a cavern inside one's head. Particularly not in these high-laced boots.

However, the incentive was very great, and thus, Alice ran.

Reno was right there by her side, making damn sure that the running continued.

Not going to lose another newbie. Not today.

Gwynn managed to make herself run as fast as she could go to get away from here.

Murdock guided, more like followed in actuality, Gwen out of the catacombs. She still seemed to think him some kind of bird-thing and he was content to go with it as long as it meant they were getting the hell out.

Literally.
